Frame in beech and poplar. Feet in walnut-stained beech, natural sand-blasted or dark brown sand-blasted with brass or chromium castor. Differentiated density polyurethane foam filling with acrylic fibre covers. Seat with box springs covered with differentiated density polyurethane foam. Back with springs (pouf excluded). Seat cushions in washed and sterilized goose down with pad in differentiated density polyurethane foam. Decorative piping in the same shade of leather; the piping is available on request in the other leather shades indicated in the catalogue.

He was born in Oggiono (province of Lecco) in 1952. He studied at the Scuola Politecnica di Design, Milan, under Bruno Munari, Alberto Rosselli and Isao Hosoe. He graduated in industrial design in 1976. He later worked with Ramstein and De Vries. As a devotee of and expert on ancient and modern carpets, he has over the years curated monographic exhibitions on the subject. A member of ADI, he designs for furniture, lighting and small-furnishings manufacturers. He also handles global image management and art direction for a number of these companies.

Baxter is headquartered in Lurago d'Erba, Lombardy, and a leader in handmade luxury furniture, which distinguishes itself through innovation and the high quality of the utilized materials. As a company it is exemplary for the internationally appreciated quality standards of products made in Italy. For many years Baxter dedicated itself almost exclusively to manufacturing leather furniture: sofas, armchairs, beds, tables and chairs, which have become synonymous with quality and elegance.
