Aldo Cibic was born in 1955 in Schio (Vicenza). In 1978 he moves to Milan to work with Ettore Sottsass and in 1980 they become partners. The same year, Cibic is one of the designers and founders of the Memphis Group together with Sottsass. In 1989 he starts his own business “Cibic & Partners”, an International Architecture and Design Studio. Simultaneously he start a research work on alternative project methods in design and architecture fields with his Studio and with the Schools among which: Domus Academy, Polytechnic University of Milan, Venice IUAV and Shanghai’s Tongji University of which he is Honorary Professor. He is currently splitting his life between Vicenza, where his family lives, and Milan, where there’s the headquarter of Cibic & Partners.
