In 1986, he graduated from Aichi Prefectural University of Arts major in Design.
After working at Super-Potato Co. Ltd., he established HASHIMOTO YUKIO DESIGN STUDIO INC. in 1996.Now he lectures at Tokyo Polytechnic University, Aichi Prefectural University of Arts and Tokyo University of the Arts.


Oto-Oto(Shinjuku-Tokyo), Beams House(Marunouchi-Tokyo), Suikyou-tei (Ginza-Tokyo), Billboard Live (Roppongi-Tokyo), The Peninsula Tokyo (Hibiya-Tokyo), Silk Palace (Taipei-Taiwan), Hilton Niseko Village (Niseko-Hokkaido), Chikusenso (Zao-Miyagi), SUPER CRAFT TREE (Tokyo Sky Tree), Intercontinental Osaka (Umeda-Osaka) etc. are among his main works.
Nashop Lighting Design Contest Best Award, JCD Best Award, 9th Space Design Competition Silver Award, 16th Takashimaya Art Award, Perspective Award of excellence award, DFA gold award, IES Illumination Award of Distinction etc. are among his main Awards.
