Exquisitely designed and versatile to use, Tosca is a stackable chair in transparent polycarbonate, air-moulded as a single piece, and designed for Magis by Richard Sapper, the great master of international design. This elegant chair with its comfortable armrests features bold thicknesses, and combines classic shapes with an ultramodern material, giving life to an extraordinary fusion of styles. It is extremely robust, and equally suited for domestic and contract settings. Year: 2007.

Richard Sapper was born in 1932. After pursuing courses in philosophy, anatomy, and engineering, he graduated with a business degree from the University of Munich. Sapper’s main interest in his design work has centered on technically complex problems. He has developed and designed a wide variety of products, ranging from ships and cars, to computers and electronics, furniture and kitchen appliances.Throughout his career, Sapper has remained keenly involved in academia, teaching and lecturing at universities all over the world. Richard Sapper has received numerous awards for his products, and his designs are represented in the permanent collections of many museums around the world.

Magis was established in 1976 in the north east of Italy, one of Europe's most dynamic industrial areas.
