Details

The Birdie family of lamps is inspired by the poetic image of a bird on a branch, in a range of forms on the wings of its designers’ creativity and Foscarini’s research. Each version of Birdie is a design in its own right, although all are always recognisably part of the Birdie range with its stylised image of a twig. Birdie Suspension is suspended in the air with its straightforward and harmonious diffuser in three colours: white - with a pleasantly diffused light - metal-chrome or metal-copper with a surface as precious as a jewel and a downward directed light. Its setting and composition potential is endless, from living spaces to bedrooms, public venues and hotels, together with other models from the Birdie collection.

Foscarini focuses on developing new products but chooses only to put into production those that express new ideas. While inspiration is always valued, Foscarini’s development phase sometimes takes years of progressive research to analyze materials, shapes, processes and operating modes that sometimes lead to results drastically different from the initial concept.

This is why Foscarini lamps are so innovative yet built to weather the whim of trends and become true classics.
