A revolution in the world of rugs called Mangas, designed by Patricia Urquiola. The original idea was inspired by the look of hand-knitted sweaters and the result is the most original, attractive rug collection seen in recent times.
Launched in 2009.
Patricia Urquiola was born in Oviedo (Spain) and lives and works in Milan since more than 20 years. She attended the School of Architecture of Madrid Polytechnic and Milan Politechnic where she graduated in 1989 with Achille Castiglioni. In 2001 she opens her own office in Milan, working on product design, architecture, installations and concept creation. She designes for some of the most renowned firms. Some of her products are permanently exposed at the MoMA in New York, as well as other museums.
GAN is GANDIA BLASCO’s indoor brand, with a strong presence in handmade rugs.
GAN is craftsmanship and design. They combine the genius of designers with the skills of craftsmen to produce unique products which will be treasured for years.
