Some objects are interesting from different standpoints, perhaps constructive, functional or poetic but this one has it all. An ingenious structure brings to mind the subtle engineering of origami. It could also be an installation created with a single object that you might find in a museum. The difference is that you can make plans with it.
Sara Romero Bustamante and Mariano Vallejo López- Aguado studied architecture at the Schools of Architecture in Barcelona and Valladolid, Spain. Sara also studied architecture at the Facoltà di Architettura della Scuola della Sapienza, at the University of Rome in Italy, and Mariano studied a Masters in Design and Restoration of Architectural Structures at the School of Architecture in Barcelona. In parallel, they have also worked with artisans and manufacturers to create new products, adapting traditional manufacturing and assembly techniques to the changing needs of construction and contemporary design.
