Details

Following the success of the three-legged stools Tom and Jerry, which inaugurated the collection three years ago, Magis now presents the chair Tuffy, which shares the same screw-shaped height-adjustment mechanism, but this time in a four-legged chair with an unmistakably distinctive, ergonomically-designed T-shaped plastic back. Designed as a work chair, suitable for a clerical office or for the study at home, Tuffy looks equally at ease in a children’s room or in any other space that hosts the activities of the body and mind, with no restrictions of style or time, alone or accompanied by the other models in the collection The Wild Bunch. Swivel chair, adjustable in height. Year: 2014.

Born in Munich in 1965.
Many of Konstantin Grcic´s products have received international design awards and form part of the permanent collections of the world´s most prestigious museums.Konstantin Grcic defines function in human terms, combining formal strictness with considerable mental acuity and humour. Each of his products is characterized by his careful research into the history of design and architecture and his passion for technology and materials. Known for pared-down pieces, Grcic is often called a minimalist but the designer himself prefers to speak of simplicity.

Magis was established in 1976 in the north east of Italy, one of Europe's most dynamic industrial areas. Its success is based on the desire to provide a broad swathe of users with access to high functional and technological quality products for the home, developed in partnership with major international designers, with a vision of the resulting products that is ethical and poetic as well as aesthetic.

Magis products are dedicated to their international public and are all 100% “Made in Italy”: a guarantee of high quality, in line with the firm's tradition, which has developed from its craftsmanship and cultural roots, through the evolving styles and industrial growth of the eighties and nineties, and continues to comprise one of the company's greatest and most valuable assets.
